A Testimony From Israel For Our Hanukkah Appeal

Last December at our Gala Dinner in London, we demonstrated the vital work that Meir Panim does in Israel. Since then, the impact of Covid-19 has been catastrophic. We are feeding three times as many households as this time last year, yet we have lost our free daily source of donated prepared foods from local hotels and businesses, which form part of our supply. Our income has dropped 30% at the time when we need it most. 11,000 households are depending on us for their food each day. Last week, one of our dedicated UK supporters, Madelaine Black, a volunteer who attended last year's Gala Dinner, visited Meir Panim’s Or Akiva centre, where demand for daily hot meals has increased from 150 to 2,000 in 2020.
